GM Tilt Column Rebuild Instructions (1969-1999)

This step-by-step video procedure shows you how to re-install the tilt housing onto the column. Maneuvering the ignition rack gear and actuator rod to connect as well as positioning the dimmer rod are all displayed in this video. Securing the upper tilt teeth while aligning the houisng to fit correctly on the tilt housing stand is shown in detail. Finally, installing the upper bearing race and race retainer correctly is displayed in this step. The 9th in a series of 12 videos, this video is 1:00 long. The example used is a 1980's design Chevrolet Pickup Truck although the column design has not changed dramatically over the 30 year period from 1969-1999.
