Upper outer shaft for Tilt / telescopis steering columns. This upper shaft is 1/2 of the telescopic mechanism. This inner shaft (Teleshaft) slides into this piece and locks into place using a wedge (and rod) There are 2 length shafts depending on which year, make & model vehicle you have. This shaft is 4 7/8" long.
